Solution:
-
Check that your microphone works on other applications.
-
Go to the Apple Menu and choose "System Preferences".
-
Click on "Sound" under Hardware Section.
-
Go to "Input" Tab and Raise Input Volume to the Maximum level by pulling it to the right.
-
When you go into a Host's chat room, make sure you have not marked the checkbox that says "I don't want to be seen on my webcam" - even if you do not have a webcam.
-
When you are in the Host's chat room, Ctrl + click on the camera window, and choose Settings.
-
Click the Microphone tab. Make sure the correct microphone is chosen in the drop-down menu, and raise the recording volume.
-
Check, when you speak into the microphone, that the volume level bar is moving in the microphone tab, which shows that the system is properly registering your microphone.
